Welcome to St. Anne - St. Patrick Parish! Thank you for being a valued part of this community. As we grow together in Christ through worship, prayer, and service, we invite you to deepen your connection with the parish and support one another in faith.
The Altar Server Ministry gives parish members—children, teens, and adults alike—a meaningful way to serve during Mass. By assisting the priest and deacon at the altar, servers help the liturgy flow smoothly and prayerfully. They carry the cross and candles in procession, hold the book for the priest, prepare the altar, present the bread and wine, and assist with incense and other sacred actions. In this ministry, servers not only support the celebration of the Eucharist but also grow in faith, reverence, and understanding of the Mass.
Servers should be mature enough to take on their responsibilities with respect and care. Typically, servers will have already made their First Communion and are encouraged to receive the Eucharist when serving at Mass. Before beginning, new servers receive training that includes learning the parts of the Mass, the meaning of the sacred vessels and vestments, and how to carry out their roles with reverence. This ministry is open to both boys and girls, men and women.
Whether serving at daily Mass, Sunday liturgies, or special celebrations throughout the year, altar servers play a vital role in the prayer life of our parish.
If you or your child are interested in becoming part of this ministry, we warmly invite you to join us.
